🎮 Join the server

  1. Install or update Valheim.
  2. Launch the game and choose your character.
  3. Open Join Game.
  4. Select Add server.

  5. Enter the server address:

    join.gameserver.cashewmade.com:54672

  6. Select the saved server, then choose Connect.

  7. Enter the server password when prompted.

Valheim should keep the server in your saved list after the first connection. Next time, open Join Game, select Cashew Valheim, and connect.

📌 A fresh world for 1.0

This is our private Valheim world for the full release. It is a fresh excuse to build an overcomplicated longhouse, sail farther than planned, and discover that the food ran out halfway across the ocean.

The server stays online so the group does not depend on one player's computer. Keep the password inside the community, and check with other players before changing or taking apart something they built.

Early launch patches

Keep Valheim updated. Small version differences can block connections, especially around a major release.

🛠️ Common problems

The server does not appear

  • Use Add server and enter the full address instead of relying on the public server list.
  • Restart Valheim, then add the server again.
  • Ask an admin whether the server is online or installing an update.

The password is rejected

  • Enter the password again. It is case-sensitive.
  • Check for an extra space at the beginning or end.
  • Ask an admin whether the password changed.
  • Do not post the password in a public channel or screenshot.

The game reports an incompatible version

  1. Close Valheim.
  2. Let Steam or your platform finish every Valheim update.
  3. Restart the launcher if no update appears.
  4. Try connecting again.

If the error remains, the server may still be updating. Give it a few minutes, then ask an admin to check its version.

The connection times out

  • Confirm that the server address is correct.
  • Close any download or VPN that may interfere with the connection.
  • Try again after a minute in case the server has just restarted.
  • If several people cannot connect, tell an admin. That usually points to the server rather than your game.

Everyone is lagging

  • Stop large downloads or streams on your connection.
  • Try a wired connection if Wi-Fi is unstable.
  • Avoid repeatedly reconnecting. Tell an admin if the whole group sees the same lag.
